Jessica contacted me about a Spectacular Science update, and update we did! I’ve now been working with Jessica from Spectacular Science for a few years now. Her original site was one of my first WordPress site builds, and it wasn’t bad. But…it just needed a few changes for improvement. Jessica was ready to freshen up a few elements on the site too. Below, I’ll share all that we did to update her site.
SPECTACULAR SCIENCE UPDATES:
The first step was to replace the website theme with the Hello Theme. It helps increase load speed and allows the elimination of several plugins. Next a new header was created including custom icons and a new hero image for a lighter look that highlights Jessica’s task card freebie. The home page had a few other changes including improved blog feed to highlight her fantastic content, updated testimonial section highlighting her top sellers, added instagram feed, and updated footer.
Once the home page was completed, we moved on to the blog feed. Jessica wanted users to be able to get to custom categories, so I added linked icons. I also updated her post sidebar too. The shop page got improved styling and a more useful filter, and the contact page now includes all of her important links. Finally, with each of the pages, we also worked to improve her SEO scores.
